The Great Odyssee - the Samoëns stage

Description

9am - 4pm: vet checks on the car park at the Lac aux Dames.
From 10am: sponsor village.
2pm - 7pm: hospitality and entertainment at the Lac aux Dames leisure complex:
- Sleigh rides for under 8's. Limited numbers. Book on site - 2 €.
- See Nordic equipment for the disabled (suitable for all ages). Try out the Nordic equipment for the disabled over a short course.
- Nordic workshops. Skijoring, snowshoes, instructors' stand etc. (suitable for all ages - free).
- Snow sculpture and snowman building competition (suitable for all ages - free).
- Ambulatory entertainment and balloon shaping.
- Demonstration of ice sculpture.
- Refreshments (hot drinks and snacks), stands run by Samoëns' associations.

6.30pm: Opening ceremony - presentation of teams to the public - demonstration course around the Laces aux Dames.
7.15pm: Fireworks.
8pm: Party - Function room at the Bois aux Dames - for organisers, the media, mushers, guests and councillors only.

Saturday 7 January 2012 : from 2 PM to 7.30 PM.No vehicle access to the leisure complex. Recommended car parks: Grand Massif Express, Tourist Office (signage). A shuttle service will run between the car parks and leisure complex between 9am and 7pm.
